I use mine for my old timers fire starting kit. My fire Kit consists of my handmade striker made from an old file, a piece of jasper that I found,some jute twine, charcloth and charcloth tin. It fits in my ball sack bag perfectly. The maker of the ball bag also makes really nice “O” style strikers that come with a piece of flint guaranteed to throw great sparks, if you might be interested in that.
