This is part of my PSK (personal survival kit) and all items except my Ontario SP8 machete are worn on my belt. The SP8 (one great tool) is usually attached to my hydration pack that houses the rest of my PSK. No matter where I’m going, whether it be hiking, fishing or geocaching if I am in the outdoors I always carry these items. personal_survival_gear.jpgThe knife is a Cold Steel Search Rescue Knife (carbon V), attached to the CS SRK seath I have a Leatherman Blast sheath. I have attached the Leatherman sheath with a good amount of 550 paracord, which has a multitude of uses that are to many to list at the moment. Fortunately the Leatherman Blast sheath has enough room to hold my swedish firesteel (this is a must have fire starting tool) as well as my single cell AAA maglite, so it works out great. I’ll go thru the rest of my PSK supplies in a later post.

  1. I am very curious about the Ontario SP8 machete but there are no reviews in the web. Would you mind drafting a short review of this tool or at least provide some comments about its usability?

  2. I actually have a review written up. I will post it up today.
